Mac Baren Golden Blend – 100g tin

Mac Baren Golden Blend – 100g tin is a true ‘all-rounder’ for lovers of mild, elegant pipe tobaccos. This blend offers a clean, authentic tobacco flavour with a pleasantly warm sweetness – straightforward, but never boring. Golden Blend is ideal if you’re looking for a reliable tobacco for every day: in the morning with your coffee, during an afternoon break, or in the evening to wind down. In the 100g tin, the tobacco stays fresh for a long time and is perfect for anyone who likes to keep a tried-and-tested classic in stock.

Virginia & Burley: mild, well-rounded and naturally sweet

The focus is on selected Virginias and Burleys, which together create a very harmonious profile. Virginia provides a natural, light sweetness and a slightly ‘toasty’ base, whilst Burley adds body, smoothness and a subtle nuttiness. This makes for a pleasantly balanced smoke: not too sweet, not too spicy – but right in the middle, with a distinct tobacco character. Many connoisseurs appreciate that such blends remain gentle on the palate when smoked at a leisurely pace, whilst delivering a stable, even burn.

Handling & Enjoyment

The cut is easy to pack (mixture/loose cut) and is very easy to portion. Giving it a quick fluff before packing helps make it easier to light and ensures an even smoother burn. In terms of flavour, Golden Blend remains pleasantly consistent throughout the entire smoke: warm sweetness, gentle spice, a rounded, smooth smoke. The room aroma is classically mild and tobacco-like, and thus significantly less ‘perfumed’ than in heavily flavoured blends – ideal if you prefer a more natural tobacco scent.
