DESCRIPTION
The Montecristo Edmundo was introduced in 2004 and is now an integral part of the Montecristo cigars range. With its impressive ring gauge and not overly heavy body, it meets the demands of the "modern" aficionado. The smooth flavour and intense aromas make a rendez vous with this cigar an unmistakable pleasure.
An exciting cigar
The cigar is predominantly hand-rolled in the H. Upmann factory and impresses with a ring gauge of 52. Originally, the cigar was rather mild, with a subtle cedar wood and tobacco character. Some even called it bland.
Today's Edmundos have a slightly more spicy and coffee flavour, which is due to the fact that the blenders have increased the proportion of strong ligero tobacco. This has made the cigar one of the most exciting cigars from Cuba.

Cigar exterior: Fine oily wrapper.
Cigarsinside: Medium rolling, good workmanship.
Smoke: Creamy with a slight sweetness and medium smoke volume.
Flavour: Wood, earth and leather dominate. Also some coffee and nut.

An interesting premium product
What’s different about this cigar? Sharp and bitter, but not aged. Blowing air into the cigar will dispel the bitterness and sharpness, but won’t take any of the flavours with it. This was one of my first Cuban cigars – and one of my first cigars ever – yet it was still fantastic. Brilliant! I’ll definitely let a couple of them age a bit.

There’s just something about the Cubans…
A superbly creamy, smooth cigar that offers a subtle spiciness and comes with plenty of natural flavours. There’s earth, wood, cedar and a hint of sweetness. Great on the palate! As for the burn, it’s a disaster. I wouldn’t have wanted to be seen with this in any lounge… It’s not a flawless cigar, either. But I don’t care. It has to taste good, and it does. And Cuban cigars simply have a certain appeal. But between you and me… An ‘ Camacho ’ Corojo is on a par with this particular cigar. That’s my opinion.

I’d happily order it again
Very creamy. Burned a bit unevenly, but tastes great. In my opinion, the strength is more like a 4.
I’ll be ordering it again!
