Oliva Robusto Variety 5

Oliva is one of the biggest names for outstanding cigars in the USA. At home in the tobacco business for several generations, cigars from the Oliva family are synonymous with perfectly crafted puros from Nicaragua.
The Oliva family originally came from Cuba, where they ran productive tobacco farms. The fields were located in San Juan, right next to those of Hoyo de Monterrey. The revolution in the 1960s brought an abrupt end to their own tobacco plantations and drove the third generation into exile. But not without detours. The relatively short journey to Estelí in Nicaragua, where the Olivas are now one of the largest tobacco farms, ultimately took them halfway around the world. Oliva cigars are characterised, among other things, by the fact that they are made almost 100 per cent from tobacco grown in the company's own fields. This includes all Nicaraguan H wrapper leaves for the V series and the O series.
