Raices C5 Black Gordo

Strong, striking, Honduran

The Raíces C5 Black Gordo is a powerful statement from the master manufactory Raíces Cubanas in Danlí, Honduras. The name "C5" stands for the so-called fifth cut leaf (*Corte Cinco*) of the tobacco - the darkest, most aromatic leaf of the plant. A full-bodied, oily Trojes Maduro is used as the wrapper leaf, combined with double-layered binder leaves from Estelí (Nicaragua) and Jamastran (Honduras). The filler consists of carefully matured tobaccos from Jamastran and Trojes, which give the cigar its complex, deep profile. Each C5 Black is traditionally handmade - the voluminous Gordo format enhances the aromatic fullness and ensures a long, intense smoking experience with maximum presence.

Full-bodied, complex, impressive

This Gordo is aimed at experienced aficionados who are looking for an extended smoking experience with plenty of depth and density. The blend develops powerful notes of espresso, dark chocolate and black pepper, accompanied by leather, earth and roasted nuts. A fine, dark sweetness rounds off the flavour harmoniously. The wide ring gauge ensures a cooler smoke development, a voluminous draw and an intense, even flavour development. The Gordo brings out the full potential of the C5 Black series - strong, complex and elegantly balanced.
