Care instructions

S.T. Dupont recommends the following for the care of your lighter: Clean all surfaces with a soft cloth. Do not use products containing solvents.
For silver-plated surfaces, use a silver polishing cloth, available from specialist retailers. Silver is a precious material that may show signs of oxidation over time. This natural process can be accelerated if your lighter comes into contact with leather or rubber for prolonged periods.
Clean lacquered surfaces in the same way as spectacle lenses: breathe on them to mist them up and then wipe them with a soft cloth. Lacquer is almost completely acid-resistant. It is exceptionally robust and particularly resistant to knocks, scratches, friction and water.
