The vitola chosen by Saint Luis Rey for this regional edition is a Duke (54 x 140 mm). This module has been very popular in recent years. In fact, it was also used by Bolívar for the Soberano (Edición Limitada 2018) or by Punch for its Mexico 2018 regional edition.
The Saint Luis Rey brand
The Saint Luis Rey brand was founded before the Second World War. According to some rumours, the name comes from the novel The Bridge of San Luis Rey, which was written in 1927 by the then very popular American playwright Thornton Wilder. Another theory claims that the name of the brand is linked to the people of San Luis, a small town located in the heart of the famous Vuelta Abajo region.
Today, Saint Luis Rey is known by aficionados all over the world thanks to the high quality and intense flavour of its vitolas. Each of the brand's cigars features a wrapper leaf from Vuelta Abajo and is labelled "Totalmente a Mano con Tripa Larga".
