Silencio Red Dot Robusto

Cohiba Red Dot in this country as Silencio Red Dot

The appearance of this line of cigars is probably familiar to many lovers of the noble pleasure, especially due to the striking "Red Dot", which contributes to immediate identification. Any idea yet? Exactly, these are the Dominican cigars that are sold in the USA under the name of a prominent Cuban cigar brand, as the original Cubans are not available there. However, this is not permitted in Europe, as the use of well-known Cuban cigar brands is only permitted for products that are actually manufactured in Cuba. This is why the Dominican Cohiba Red Dot cigars are sold in this country under the name Silencio Red Dot cigars

Silencio Red Dot: harmony and tradition in smoking enjoyment

The wrapper of the Silencio Red Dot cigars comes from genuine African Cameroon, the binder is made from Indonesian Jember and the filler tobaccos are Dominican pilotos, which are stored in so-called tercios (bales of tobacco wrapped in palm leaves). These three Dominican pilotos guarantee a harmonious smoking experience, ideal for special moments. The flavour is characterised by its multi-dimensionality, with creamy notes, earthy and woody aromas and a subtle spiciness dominating

Comparatively cost-efficient

In the USA, examples of this blend sold under a different name cost between 15 and 20 US dollars. In view of the high prices for the original Cohiba cigars from Cuba since summer 2022, this is still comparatively cheap, but already quite expensive for the American market. The vitolas available here are therefore significantly more cost-effective
