A fine Dominican treat – elegant and full of flavour

The A. Flores Gran Reserva Desflorado comes from the Abe Flores (PDR Cigars) factory in Tamboril, Dominican Republic. Here, the cigars are rolled entirely by hand and carefully selected. The term ‘Desflorado’ refers to a special cultivation method: the flowers of the tobacco plant are removed so that more strength and flavour are concentrated in the leaves. The result is a very clean, balanced yet characterful smoking profile with a clear, refined spiciness and a subtle sweetness.

Balanced, fragrant, with classic tobacco notes

The Gran Reserva Desflorado is aimed at aficionados who prefer a medium-strength cigar with elegant aromatics. Typical characteristics include light woody tones, creamy smoke and delicate floral notes, as found in well-fermented, high-quality wrapper leaves. Dominican and, to some extent, Nicaraguan tobaccos provide depth and structure without ever appearing coarse or harsh. As the cigar develops, hints of cedar, almonds, honeyed sweetness, white pepper and a very subtle hay/floral note emerge – a perfect balance for connoisseurs who value complexity over sheer strength.
