Bongani 658 Toro

The Bongani is available in three sizes: as a classic Robusto, as a Toro – referred to internally as the 458 – and as a Short Gordo. Bongani is a relatively new brand and one of the first premium cigars from Africa.

Remarkably mature and well-balanced

You can certainly tell this about the Bongani. Fortunately, no attempt was made to create an overly distinctive blend with an exotic flair in order to appeal to just a handful of connoisseurs. Instead, the emphasis was placed on solid craftsmanship, resulting in a cigar that simply hits the spot. It’s intriguing enough for a cigar with a pioneering character, yet pleasantly balanced in aroma and flavour. The tobaccos, particularly the Cameroonian wrapper, are excellent and are every bit as good as those from the big brands. The price is absolutely reasonable, and anyone looking to treat themselves to something a bit different from the ‘Caribbean mainstream’ will get their money’s worth!
