A centuries-old tradition

A tobacco born of a centuries-old tradition, which Kentucky’s farmers have perfected. The fully ripe tobacco is only harvested once the plant begins to show its first golden-yellow hues. The leaves are then air-dried in the Kentucky air until they glow a rich golden yellow. The tobacco subsequently acquires its unique smoky flavours during a second, special smoke-curing process: Dark Fired Smoke Cured. To achieve this, the tobacco is hung in smoke barns above smouldering oak and hickory wood, allowing it, leaf by leaf, to absorb those uniquely toasty, smoky flavours that make it so special.
