San Cristobal de La Habana
San Cristóbal de La Habana cigars were launched on the market shortly before the turn of the millennium. It is one of the youngest brands from Cuba. The cigars are named after the original name of the Cuban capital. The name was given in honour of San Cristobal, which means "holy sacrifice of Christ" in German.
The formats are each named after a Havana fortress, which were built between the 16th and 18th centuries. They were used by the Spanish colonial rulers to defend the city against possible attacks and are called La Fuerza, La Punta and El Príncipe.
