H. Upmann
The namesake of this brand, Hermann Upmann, a banker's son originally from Bremen, founded this well-known cigar factory in Havana in 1844. The factory finally had to be sold in 1937 after a number of difficult years, but today it still guarantees first-class quality and produces a considerable export share of light to medium-bodied Habanos. The tobacco leaves come exclusively from the Vuelta Abajo region. Incidentally, H. Upmann was the favourite brand of John F.
