Blanco Cigars - Quality, tradition and values
The Blanco Cigar Company was founded in the USA in 1998. However, the history and roots of the family go back 80 years to the westernmost province of Cuba, Pinar del Rio, and to their cousins, the Plasencia family. Today, the latter are one of the most important tobacco families in the industry. The cigars are produced under the management of David Blanco in the factories of their relatives in Danlf, Honduras, as well as in Estelf, Nicaragua. David Blanco himself has been blending cigars for over 25 years and is not only responsible for all products under the "Blanco" name and the other family-run brands, but also works for a dozen other companies worldwide that place their trust in him and his skills. These include the Plasencia family itself, but also well-known names such as Don Fernando and Gurhka.
The company follows three central principles: Quality, tradition and values. This is reflected in the production of the cigars, which utilises both traditional methods and innovative techniques.
The Blanco family has set itself the goal of offering cigars of the highest quality at a good price-performance ratio. One of the best-known series is the award-winning Blanco NINE, which is recognised for its depth and complexity. For connoisseurs of more classic blends and formats, there is the Liga Exclusiva de Familia, a limited selection that impresses with exquisite tobacco blends and first-class workmanship. Beginners and lovers of milder cigars will find the Primas Classic an ideal choice, also in terms of budget.
A particular highlight is the Cigar Obsession line, which was created in collaboration with the well-known founder of the platform of the same name, Bryan Glynn. It is aimed at connoisseurs who appreciate unique and varied flavours and value the highest quality. The Prince Hall series honours the important freedom fighter who fought for the rights of black people. The blend is particularly appealing to lovers of more floral flavours.
