The launch of the Cohiba Pirámides Extra Tubos took place at the 2012 Festival del Habano in Cuba's capital Havana. This cigar lives up to the high standards of the classic Cohiba cigars line, but with some remarkable innovations. It is presented in an unconventional 10-count box and was the first cigar in the Línea Clásica to be fitted with a special hologram belly band to protect it from counterfeiting. Characteristic of Cohiba is the double fermentation of some tobacco varieties in barrels, which results in a particularly smooth and balanced variety of flavours.
