Davidoff Humidor Ambassador Olivetree

Davidoff’s prestigious, handcrafted humidors are of the highest quality and come with a lifetime structural guarantee. These humidors are regarded as the luxurious way to store cigars in perfect condition and style.
Since their launch in 2016, Davidoff has sold more than 300 of its iconic Macassar and Sycamore humidors worldwide. After five years, it was time to redesign the range to better reflect current trends. Davidoff has refreshed the range with new, certified-origin woods, new exterior finishes and a perfect colour coordination between the interior and exterior.

OLIVE WOOD

Olive wood is a hard, strong and durable timber with a light colour and an oily grain. No two pieces of olive wood are identical. Olive trees live for hundreds of years, but eventually stop producing olives and are then classified as old. Their trunks and branches become thick, gnarled and twisted. It is this wood that is used to craft beautiful wooden artefacts such as our humidors. The satin-matt finish preserves the wood’s authenticity and makes the humidor a truly decorative piece of furniture.

ANIEGRE WOOD

The interior of the olive wood humidors is crafted from Aniegre, a wood with a subtle grain that is prized for its warm, light golden-brown to pale pinkish-red hues and its silky lustre. Aniegre is odourless, which prevents any transfer of odours to the stored cigars. To better seal in the humidity, the Aniegre is varnished by hand; however, the wood can still act as a moisture reservoir once the humidor is activated.
