Diplomatico Ambassador Selection Rum 70cl

Whilst the tradition of sugar cane cultivation in Venezuela dates back to the 15th century, rum has ‘only’ been produced in this South American country since 1896. The expertise built up over many years, combined with the favourable climate and soil conditions on the shores of the Caribbean Sea, give the local rum its unrivalled characteristics. At Destilerias Unidas, great importance is placed on traditional craftsmanship, which is why all the stills are made of copper. Some of these stills even date back to the last century.
The Ambassador Selection Rum is part of the Prestige range and, due to its extended ageing and high quality, is more expensive than the other products in the range. The rum is aged for at least 12 years in white oak casks and is then refined for a further two years in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. It is bottled directly from the cask.
