Diplomatico Ambassador Selection Rum 70cl

While the tradition of sugar cane cultivation in Venezuela dates back to the 15th century, rum has "only" been produced in this South American country since 1896. The knowledge built up over many years, coupled with the favourable climate and soil conditions on the edge of the Caribbean Sea, give local rum its incomparable characteristics. The Destilerias Unidas emphasise traditional craftsmanship, which is why the stills are all made of copper. Some of this equipment even dates back to the last century.
The Ambassador Selection Rum is part of the Prestige range and is more expensive than the other products in the range due to its high level of maturity and quality. The rum is aged for at least 12 years in white oak barrels and is refined for a further two years in Pedro Ximénez sherry barrels. It is bottled directly from the barrel.
