The large size dampens the sharpness slightly, but doesn’t save the blend
Following the rather disappointing Robusto version, I wanted to give the blend another chance in the larger Toro Grande format. While the larger ring gauge does result in a slightly cooler burn here, which keeps the typical sharpness in the first third somewhat in check, this unfortunately does little to alter the overall impression.
Even as a Toro Grande, the simple Nicaraguan tobacco used remains very rustic and flat in flavor. The smoking experience lacks balance, depth and, above all, creamy nuances throughout its entire length. As soon as the cigar passes the halfway mark, the initial mildness gives way once again to a rather harsh, one-dimensional flavour.
Priced at CHF 4.10, you certainly get a lot of tobacco for your money, but for me the enjoyment factor simply falls short here. Anyone looking for refined, harmonious flavours won’t find what they’re after here. Not one I’d buy again.

A good cigar. Good value for money.
Good flavour, good burn, good draw. Anyone ordering them should be aware that they aren’t a 25.-- cigar. A good everyday cigar in a large size.

In my view, the value for money is absolutely top-notch.
This cigar is absolutely to my personal taste. A good smoke, a delicate, creamy flavour, and a good burn. Perfect as a daily smoke.
In my view, the value for money on this cigar is almost unbeatable.
