Notorious Cigars
DESCRIPTION
The Notorious Cigars Unapologetic Toro showcases the darker and more robust side of the brand. An oily U.S. Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper envelops an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder and a blend of filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and the USA. The result is a medium- to full-bodied cigar with intense flavours of dark chocolate, espresso and black pepper. Earth, leather, roasted nuts, molasses and toasted oak add further depth as the cigar develops. The classic Toro format offers an excellent balance between intensity, smoke volume and harmonious development.
Notorious Cigars Unapologetic Toro, size 6 x 50
The Toro measures around 152 millimetres with a ring gauge of 50, giving it classic proportions. At its heart is the dark Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper from the USA. It brings natural intensity and a distinctive, dark aroma to the blend. The Ecuadorian Sumatra binder provides spice and structure. The filler combines tobaccos from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and the USA, giving the cigar its complex, robust base.
Dark chocolate, espresso and molasses
Right from the start, the cigar presents notes of dark chocolate and espresso. Black pepper provides a distinct spiciness, whilst earthy notes lend depth to the profile. In the middle third, leather, cocoa and roasted nuts develop. At the same time, a dark sweetness reminiscent of molasses emerges, rounding off the robust blend. Toasted or slightly charred oak increasingly dominates the latter stages, ensuring a long, spicy finish.
A robust character with a balanced structure
The Unapologetic Toro is aimed primarily at connoisseurs who appreciate dark broadleaf cigars and intense roasted flavours. The manufacturer classifies its strength as medium-full. Despite the robust aromatics, the blend remains deliberately balanced. The 50 ring gauge concentrates the flavours without making the smoke feel too heavy. This makes the Toro ideal for a leisurely post-dinner smoke or to accompany a strong coffee, when chocolate, espresso and spicy tobacco notes are called for.
