Pyrat XO Reserve Rum 70cl

Pyrat Rum is produced on the small island of Anguilla in the British West Indies (Caribbean) by the Planters Distillery. The distillery was founded towards the end of the 19th century by the English sailor CJ Planter, after he married the daughter of a local sugar cane grower. This high-quality rum quickly gained a reputation beyond the country’s borders and thus found its way to Europe.

Nothing has changed in this regard to this day, and Pyrat Rum is regarded as one of the very best rums in the world.

Tasting Notes:
Colour: Amber.
Nose: Rich and sweet, with aromas of marzipan, vanilla and orange.
Palate: Lots of orange again, tart and sweet, quite fruity, very full-bodied and rich, almost liqueur-like.

The bottles of Pyrat’s XO Reserve rums are hand-blown, one-off pieces.
