The Raíces C5 Black Robusto is a powerful statement from the masterful Raíces Cubanas factory in Danlí, Honduras. The name ‘C5’ refers to the so-called fifth cut leaf (*Corte Cinco*) of the tobacco – the darkest, most aromatic leaf on the plant. The wrapper is a rich, oily Trojes Maduro, combined with a double-layered binder made from Estelí (Nicaragua) and Jamastran (Honduras). The filler consists of carefully aged tobaccos from Jamastran and Trojes, which lend the cigar its complex, deep profile. Every C5 Black is handcrafted using traditional methods – for an intense smoking experience with character and soul.

This Robusto is aimed at experienced aficionados seeking full body and aromatic depth. The blend unfolds a distinctive flavour profile with notes of roasted coffee, dark chocolate, black pepper and a hint of liquorice. In the background, nuances of leather, earth and roasted nuts resonate – always underpinned by a subtle sweetness that elegantly balances the robust character. The smoke is dense and creamy, the burn even, with a firm draw. Despite its strength, the C5 Black remains smooth and controlled throughout – a true tour de force of finesse.
