DESCRIPTION
True to the motto ‘only the best is good enough’, this range features a Connecticut Shade wrapper that has been aged for over 10 years. This makes it the oldest and, at the same time, the most precious the market has to offer. The wrapper imparts an incredibly refined aroma to the cigar, with mild, earthy and woody roasted notes taking centre stage. This is accompanied by a delicate and mild creaminess.
About Rocky Patel
Rocky’s first eponymous brand, Rocky Patel Vintage Cigars, became his flagship range and comprises five vintage series: 1990, 1992, 1999, 2003 and 2006. Since the company’s reorganisation in 2003, Rocky has launched numerous best-selling brands, including The Edge, Decade, Fifteenth Anniversary, Royale, Java, Twentieth Anniversary and Sun Grown Maduro – his highest-rated cigar in Cigar Aficionado magazine, which received 95 points and was named the No. 2 cigar of 2016. Although Rocky Patel is honoured and humbled by this accolade, he is far from satisfied. He will never rest on his laurels, for there is still more perfection to be achieved.

Holzig
Am Anfang sehr ausgewogen, kaum Holz. Ab der Mitte überwiegend holzig mit zu nehmender Stärke. Schade! Ich hätte mir gewünscht das die anfängliche Ausgewogenheit etwas länger anhält. Stellenweise starker Schiefbrand, der korrigiert werden musste.
Fazit: Eine leichte Zigarre, mit einem guten Start, die leider ab der Mitte keinen Spass mehr macht.
