Step 1:

The lighter’s mechanism is very delicate and must therefore be protected from dirt (dust, sand, tobacco, etc.). From time to time, dust and lint can block the burner, preventing the lighter from working properly. To remove any dirt, please blow thoroughly through the burner using a strong jet of air.

Step 2:

If the flame becomes weaker or the lighter fails to ignite properly, it may need refilling. Refilling the gas lighter: Use only S.T. Dupont gas for torch lighters. Using other gas cartridges or refill systems can be dangerous, damage the lighter or cause it to malfunction.

Step 3:

The quality of the flame depends on the flame adjustment. If the lighter fails to ignite properly, adjust the setting using the control mechanism at the base of the lighter.

Step 4:

To protect your lighter from contaminants (dust, sand, tobacco, etc.), we recommend using an S.T. Dupont velvet pouch. If, for example, the lighter is in your pocket, it is advisable to keep it in an S.T. Dupont lighter case.
