In 1882, having already been producing cigars for 30 years at the Antonio Allones factory, the decision was taken to launch a new brand of premium quality at high prices. With great confidence and little modesty, it was named El Rey del Mundo – The King of the World – and proved a resounding success. At the time, these cigars were among the most expensive in the world.

El Rey del Mundo – medium strength

This success lives on to this day in a select range of Habanos, renowned for their mild to medium strength and consistency.
All sizes are ‘totalmente a mano, tripa larga’ – entirely hand-rolled long-fillers with filler and wrapper leaves from the Vuelta Abajo tobacco-growing region.
