Deadhead 6 Years Rum 70cl

This rum is a blend of several Caribbean rums, which was aged for six years using the solera method in five different oak casks. These had previously contained cognac, whisky, sherry, Bordeaux and Rioja. ‘Deadhead’ is produced by Iconic Brands Inc., which is based in the Mexican state of Veracruz. The bottle in which the rum is bottled is particularly striking. It is modelled on the shrivelled, desiccated head of a deceased person, known as a ‘tsantsa’. It is a kind of homage to the cult of the dead practised by the ancient civilisations of Latin American countries.
