EGM Cigars
DESCRIPTION
The EGM Empyrean Heraldos is a boutique cigar for those seeking something truly special: produced in extremely limited numbers, crafted without compromise and, as part of the Empyrean range, deliberately positioned at the very top of the EGM portfolio. Even the presentation exudes luxury – the cigars come in a blue and gold lacquered box of 10, with each vitola looking like a little collector’s item. At the same time, the Heraldos is surprisingly ‘smokable’: a size that doesn’t last forever, but which, thanks to its large ring gauge, delivers plenty of flavour and a rich smoking experience.
Empyrean: ‘the highest realm of heaven’ – inspired by antiquity
The name Empyrean derives from the Greek ‘Empyros’ (‘in fire’) – and in ancient mythology, the Empyrean was the highest sphere, the realm of fire. It is precisely this symbolism that suits the range: a particularly ambitious, rare series crafted from aged tobaccos from the Cibao Valley in the Dominican Republic. Each cigar is made totalmente a mano by the most experienced rollers – the focus is clearly on precision, maturity and elegance.
Montesco vitola – short, powerful, elegant
The Heraldos is the shortest format in the Empyrean range and comes in the classic Montesco vitola. Measuring 130 mm in length with a generous 55 ring gauge, it makes for a modern smoke: compact in terms of smoking time, yet generous in draw and flavour intensity. Visually, the evenly coloured, slightly oily Dominican wrapper is a real eye-catcher. A subtle detail that you notice straight away: at the foot there is an additional protective band bearing the model name – a little ‘boutique touch’ that rounds off the premium feel.
Moments of enjoyment with depth – also ideal as a gift
In terms of profile, the EGM Empyrean Heraldos is generally classified as medium to full-bodied – perfect for connoisseurs who appreciate complexity without the cigar feeling coarse or aggressive. It pairs superbly with espresso, dark chocolate, aged rums or a smooth single malt. Thanks to its limited availability and elegant box design, it also makes a superb gift for aficionados – or a special treat to save for yourself on special evenings.
