Highland Park 12 Years Viking Honour Edition 70cl

The Highland Park distillery was founded in 1798, making it one of the oldest in Scotland still in operation today. It is situated on the Orkney Islands off the country’s northernmost tip, where the climate is ideal for whisky production. It is never too cold in winter, never too hot in summer, and there is no shortage of wind and rain. The ‘Highland Park 12 Years’ is the distillery’s classic expression, which has been sporting a new look since 2017. The Viking Honour Edition pays tribute to the legendary Vikings, who left their mark not only on the culture of the Orkney Islands but also on the local population. Indeed, Magnus Eunson, the founder of the world-famous distillery, had genuine Viking blood running through his veins. Maturation in ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks produces a single malt whisky that shimmers with a light amber hue, offering aromas of heather honey, fruit cake, spices, Seville oranges and peaty smoke.
