The name Izambar is a reference to a well-known 19th-century engineer in London. He was a pioneer of modern engineering and ahead of his time. All his projects bore his distinctive mark, and through his determination and unconventional approach, he made the impossible possible. He played a key role in the construction of the Thames Tunnel in London, in the first design of a steel ship propelled by a propeller, and much more besides. Alongside modern engineering, he had a second passion: cigars. And he smoked quite a few of them – up to 40 a day!
Just like Isambard Kingdom Brunel himself, Izambard cigars are unconventional and have a character all of their own.
