The S.T. Dupont collections are manufactured in France. The main production site is located in Faverges in the Haute-Savoie department. The pursuit of perfection, a high standard of quality and conscientiousness are the foundation of the work of every worker, craftsman and technician at the S.T. Dupont workshops.
From the very beginning, goldsmithing played an important role in S.T. Dupont creations. Even at that time, the numerous and precious accessories of travel cases were decorated with refined goldsmithing.

Goldsmithing involves working with precious or rare metals such as gold, silver, palladium or platinum. The goldsmith's work consists of three steps: working out the decoration by guilloché, chiselling and engraving, polishing and plating. The guilloches are engraved in solid brass with the utmost care to guarantee durability. Backed by its savoir-faire, S.T. Dupont also dares to create the most daring technical decorations: large polished surfaces on which the slightest flaw would catch the eye, or interrupted guilloches that require the utmost precision. The result of these technical masterpieces are unique, original, modern and, above all, numerous decors: several hundred decors have already been produced.
Up to 600 work steps for a S.T. Dupont lighter
The S.T. Dupont lighters require 500 to 600 work steps. The production cycle generally takes 4 to 5 months. Each item is unique, as the skilled worker who assembles the lighter engraves his initials under the drive roller. These discreetly reflect the pride with which the item was made.
S.T. Dupont works with the largest French, Italian and Spanish manufacturers, who are renowned for their professional expertise. The quality of the accessories is impeccable. The fine work in gold, palladium or ruthenium is a reminder of S.T. Dupont's expertise in the field of goldsmithing
