Trinidad Vigia Tubos

The name Trinidad is a tribute to the beautiful city of La Santísima Trinidad on the south coast of Cuba. Built in the 16th century, it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988. The roots of the Trinidad brand date back to 1969. For many years, like the Cohiba, it was only produced as an exclusive gift from the Cuban state for foreign dignitaries. It was only released for general sale in 1998 - but only in small quantities. For several years, the Trinidad brand cigars were produced in the El Laguito factory, the historic Cohiba factory. The special tobacco blends with filler and binder leaves from the Vuelta Abajo tobacco-growing zone make this brand unique and exclusive. Today, production is located in Pinar del Rio, the most important city in the Vuelta Abajo

In the range since 2014

Initially, there was only one format of Trinidad: the Fundadores. in 2003, the brand was expanded with the launch of the Reyes, Coloniales and Robusto Extra formats. At the same time, the brand layout was modernised and adapted to the high quality of this Habano. The Trinidad Robustos T has completed the line since 2009. Production of the Robusto Extra and Robustos T was discontinued in 2012.

The new Vigía vitola was presented during the XVI Habanos Festival 2014. This Vitola de Galera (production name) - Torres has a ring gauge of 54 and a length of 110mm. Both the Vitola de Galera (production name) - Torres and the Vitola de Salida (trade name) - Vigía convey our idea of Trinidad and the area on the edge of the Valle de los Ingenios, on the south coast of Cuba. Imposing watchtowers, erected to watch over the sugar cane plantations, characterise the farmland and make us dream of the beautiful landscape.
