El Baton is one of J.C. Newman's historic brands, produced by founder J.C. Newman in 1914. This nickel cigar was originally hand-rolled from Cuban tobacco in a factory in Cleveland, Ohio. Although it was popular for many years, El Baton disappeared from the market in the 1920s with the advent of machine-made cigars.
