Swiss Highland Wildflower Honey Gin 70cl

The Swiss Highland Honey Gin "Wildflower" is the summer gin experience of a somewhat wilder kind. The recipe for our Swiss Highland Dry Gin serves as the basis for the limited summer edition. This is enriched with wildflower honey during the production process. The addition of honey gives the gin a beautiful yellow colour, which, paired with the sweet aromas, rounds off the summer experience. Our honey gin has 33.3% by volume and is therefore between the classic gins (Swiss Highland Dry Gin and Swiss Highland Old Tom Gin) and the Swiss Highland Sloe Gin.

Drinking recommendation

We recommend the Swiss Highland Honey Gin "Wildflower" on ice or in combination with ginger beer as a "honey mule"

Preparation Swiss Highland London Honey Mule

Fill a mule copper mug with ice. (Do not use crushed ice or ice cubes that are too small), top up with 5cl Studer's Swiss Highland Honey Gin "Wildflower" and 15cl ginger beer. Garnish with a slice of lime and enjoy.

About the honey

Swiss Highland Honey Gin "Wildflower" is made from 100% European wildflower honey. In contrast to "classic honey", this type of honey does not come from cultivated or useful plants but from wild plants.

Wildflower honey is a rarity today as it can only be obtained in areas where the flora can still grow wild and uncontrolled. These are often remote areas such as the Alps or nature reserves.

A pollen analysis is required for the declaration as wildflower honey. As the honey is collected by bees in a natural environment, elevated pesticide levels are not an issue with this type of honey.

The strong flavour and the fact that it is produced in a natural environment is something that wildflower honey has in common with our Swiss Highland Dry Gin. For this reason, we made a conscious decision in favour of this wild honey variety. The result is a summer experience of a somewhat wilder kind
