52 Quai d'Orsay

In the spring of 2017, a particular brand took centre stage at the ‘Festival del Habano’: Quai d’Orsay. This brand is relatively new, having been created specifically for the French market as recently as 1973. For over four decades, it languished, quite unjustifiably, in the background. With the introduction of two new cigar formats, characterised by mild and elegant tobacco blends, as well as a complete revamp of the brand’s image, this is now set to change. The cigars and their boxes are now embellished with attractive bands and decorations, meticulously crafted using high-quality printing techniques.

Quai d’Orsay No. 52

On 25 October 2022, the new Quai d’Orsay No. 52 vitola (ring gauge 52 x length 156 mm) was unveiled in Paris at the Hôtel de La Marine on the Place de la Concorde. From the building, one can see not only the Eiffel Tower but also the famous Avenue Quai d’Orsay, which gave its name to the Habanos brand. No better location could have been chosen for the world premiere of the Quai d’Orsay No. 52.
With its Lanzas format, a ring gauge of 52 and a length of 156 mm, this vitola perfectly complements the Quai d’Orsay family.

Tasting Report

Cigar exterior: Sturdy , oily wrapper.
Cigar construction: Medium roll, well-made.
Smoke: Creamy with a hint of sweetness. Plenty of smoke volume.
Flavour: Grass , wood, earth, toast and coffee.
Burn: Good burn
