Bentley Pipe Tobacco The Oriental Amber – 50g

Bentley Pipe Tobacco The Oriental Amber – 50g is a wonderfully classic English-style pipe tobacco for connoisseurs who appreciate the pure taste of tobacco – spicy, deeply aromatic and yet pleasantly accessible. This blend combines fine Oriental and Virginia tobaccos and is enhanced with a hint of Perique and a small pinch of Latakia. It is precisely this that creates a profile that is not ‘smoky and overpowering’, but rather balanced and elegant: spicy Oriental notes, a mild Virginia sweetness and a gentle, smoky undertone that lends the blend a mature and complex character. This tobacco is ideal as a reliable everyday English blend for anyone who prefers to do without added flavourings but is still looking for an exciting, multi-layered smoking experience.

Orient & Virginia with depth: spicy, rounded, slightly smoky

At its heart lies the classic combination of Oriental and Virginia: Virginia brings a natural, light underlying sweetness and provides balance, whilst Oriental tobaccos contribute the typical, spicy-tart ‘Oriental’ flavour – often slightly herbaceous, sometimes with a fruity undertone. Perique adds an extra dimension as a subtle accent: a delicate peppery spice and a darker, slightly fruity depth. Finally, the pinch of Latakia provides a rich aromatic depth and a gentle smokiness without dominating the blend. Many descriptions emphasise precisely this restraint: an English blend that remains spicy but does not overwhelm. Thanks to the curing period of several months, the overall profile is particularly well-rounded, and when smoked at a leisurely pace, a pleasantly cool, even smoke develops.
