DESCRIPTION
The Drew Estate Tabac Especial Oscuro Coronets bring the intense combination of dark tobacco and a robust coffee aroma to a particularly compact format. Manufactured in Nicaragua, these small cigars are aimed at connoisseurs who appreciate espresso, dark chocolate and a pleasant sweetness. The dark Maduro wrapper gives them a striking appearance and enhances their full-bodied flavour profile. Despite their short smoking time, they quickly produce a dense, creamy smoke with astonishing depth. The practical Coronet size is ideal for brief moments of indulgence where no compromises are to be made on flavour.
Dark blend with Nicaraguan coffee
The Tabak Especial range was born out of Drew Estate’s passion for Nicaragua’s tobacco and coffee culture. For the dark variant, a matured San Andrés Maduro wrapper is combined with a spicy Sumatra binder and selected Nicaraguan filler tobaccos. Added to this is the characteristic finishing touch of natural coffee flavours. Exactly how this infusion process is carried out remains a secret of Drew Estate. The result combines classic tobacco flavours with the intense character of dark-roasted coffee beans, creating a unique smoking experience that lies somewhere between a cigar and an espresso.
Espresso, chocolate and a pleasant sweetness
Right from the moment it is lit, distinct notes of freshly roasted coffee and strong espresso emerge. Dark chocolate complements the roasted flavours and lends the flavour profile additional depth. In the background, earthy nuances and a subtle spiciness develop, giving structure to the sweeter components. The head is subtly sweetened, resulting in a pleasant sweetness on the lips, particularly at the start. As the smoke progresses, coffee, cocoa and tobacco combine to form a creamy, robust yet harmonious overall profile.
Compact enjoyment in Coronet format
Measuring around 102 millimetres in length with a ring gauge of 32, the Coronets are deliberately designed for short smoking sessions. The diameter is approximately 12.7 millimetres. Depending on your smoking pace, you can expect around 15 to 20 minutes of enjoyment. The small format allows the flavoured tobaccos to come to the fore very immediately and, despite its slender dimensions, produces a surprisingly rich smoke volume. The Coronets are sold in a handy metal tin containing ten cigars, making them ideal as a companion for when you’re out and about, for a coffee break or as a short finish after a meal.
