Nachtmann Whisky Mugs, Punk, Set of 4 (99503)

London, a city that constantly challenges the status quo and drives creative innovation at a rapid pace, inspired the young up-and-coming designer Anke Buchmann at the world-famous Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design to create this new, highly extroverted NEXTGEN design for Nachtmann.

“By designing a barware range in which stylised rivets stand out – indeed, seem to burst right out of the surface – I rebelled against the establishment. I celebrated the 40th anniversary of the punk movement and the mutual inspiration between punk and luxury – a trend that is currently also having a major impact on fashion,” emphasises Anke Buchmann.

Classic punk symbols such as studs and mesh are reflected in the shapes and finishes of the bar glasses and carafe, allowing the designer to ‘shatter’ the classic image of crystal with her punk attitude.
