About the brand

The Patoro cigar brand was founded in 2001 by Patrick J. Martin and was initially a small, exclusive private label whose name was derived from his first name. The "Pat" stands for Patrick, while the "Oro" comes from the Spanish for gold. Later, in 2015, the brand received active support from Dr Pablo Richard Schneider, the grandson of the legendary former Davidoff boss Dr Ernst Schneider

20th anniversary

To mark the brand's 20th anniversary, Patoro Terre Blanche cigars were launched in the USA in 2021 and were also available in Europe from 2023. Their name refers to the soil on which the tobacco plants grow: "Terre Blanche" is French for "white earth" and refers to the calcareous soil of the Cordillera Septentrional in the Dominican Republic. This northern mountain range is also home to the Cibao Valley, a well-known tobacco-growing area in the region. The soils there are rich in calcium and have a light colour, which inspired the naming of the cigars

Elegant complexity

The Patoro Terre Blanche cigars use tobacco from the Cibao Valley, which is grown by Leo Reyes, a respected tobacco farmer. After harvesting, the tobaccos are left to mature for between 4 and 8 years before being rolled and wrapped in an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper. These cigars are characterised by their elegant complexity and offer aficionados an exceptional smoking experience
