DESCRIPTION
It is often said that Proper No. Twelve whisky is the brainchild of Conor McGregor. However, McGregor is not a master distiller, but an Irish mixed martial arts fighter who has competed in numerous professional bouts in the UFC in the USA. Conor was born in 1988 in the Crumlin district of Dublin. In 2018, at the height of his sporting career, he founded the company Eire Born Spirits. Together with experts from Ireland’s oldest distillery, the Old Bushmills Distillery, he developed the blend, which contains both single grain and single malt whisky. It is matured in the traditional manner in ex-bourbon casks, although the exact duration is unknown.
