The VegaFina Serie 2 Coupage Edición Limitada 2024 is an exclusive cigar inspired by the art of wine blending. The term ‘Coupage’ refers to the practice of combining different grape varieties to achieve an exquisite and refined flavour. Similarly, this cigar has been created through the careful selection and blending of tobacco leaves from the Dominican Republic, Ecuador and Paraguay.

Production and Craftsmanship

Under the guidance of the Grupo de Maestros at Tabacalera de García, the world’s largest cigar manufacturer, the cigar underwent a precise fermentation and ageing process. The result is a hand-rolled cigar that embodies the essence of Dominican cigar-making. A distinctive feature of this limited edition in the Belicoso format (ring gauge 52, length 140 mm) is the two-tone wrapper: a lighter section at the head and a darker one on the body of the cigar create a striking colour contrast. This combination offers the aficionado a unique aromatic and flavour experience.

Aromas and flavour

The blend of tobacco leaves gives the cigar a complex and multi-layered flavour profile. The cigar impresses with aromas of roasted and salted almonds, dried fruit and hints of coffee. Subtle spicy notes of clove, cinnamon and pepper, as well as a hint of molasses, are also detectable. Leather and earth notes round off the smoking experience.

Presentation

The VegaFina Serie 2 Coupage is presented in an elegant box of 12, featuring the brand’s new VF logo. The cigars are fitted with an additional foot ring that echoes the box’s design, thus creating a harmonious overall look.

Tasting Report

Cigar exterior: Two-tone , fine wrapper.
Cigar interior: Medium roll, well-crafted.
Smoke: Slightly creamy with a touch of sweetness. Plenty of smoke.
Flavour: roasted and salted almonds, dried fruit and coffee notes with hints of leather and earth.
Burn: Good burn
