Cigar Prop Lighter Vent

Is your lighter not working properly after just the first refill?
After refilling your new Jet-Flame lighter, nothing works anymore. And that’s despite using the correct lighter gas. In most cases, this is because the lighter hasn’t been vented properly.

Once again, an American inventor has come up with the solution: Kevin D. Shahan designed the Cigar Prop lighter venting tool after he couldn’t find any other tool for easy venting. In many cases, it’s actually the excess pressure still inside the lighter that causes the jet flame to give up the ghost after just a few refilling attempts, meaning it can no longer be refilled properly.
The venting tool is sturdy enough to apply sufficient pressure to the valve. In addition, an outlet hole is positioned so that the remaining gas can escape easily and in a controlled manner from both sides of the lighter. The vent ensures that the excess pressure can escape, allowing the nozzles of the Jet-Flame lighter to function properly again.

Instructions

1. Hold the lighter vertically downwards so that you can press the brass vent tip into the lighter’s valve from above.
2. Position the vent tool so that the vent holes on the lighter’s vent point away from you to the right and left (see picture); otherwise, the gas will spray into your face.
3. Press the vent tool firmly onto the valve, release, press again, release, and repeat until you can no longer hear a hissing sound
   Then refill the lighter with high-quality lighter gas in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
4. Jet-Flame lighters normally take about 1–3 minutes after refilling to be ready for use again
