La Estrella
DESCRIPTION
The La Estrella Solar Robusto is a hand-rolled long-filler cigar from Honduras that combines a classic format with a spicier and more intense flavour profile. Indonesian tobacco is used for both the wrapper and the binder, whilst the filler combines tobaccos from Honduras, Nicaragua and Colombia. On the palate, it starts off pleasantly balanced with notes of wood and coffee, before developing hints of leather, spices and stronger roasted flavours. The strength increases slightly as the cigar is smoked, but remains within an easily accessible medium range. It thus offers an interesting balance between straightforward enjoyment and enough character to appeal to experienced connoisseurs.
La Estrella Solar Robusto in the 5x50 format
Measuring 127 millimetres in length, with a diameter of around 19.8 millimetres and a ring gauge of 50, the Robusto is a classic and versatile size. The smoking time is approximately 55 to 60 minutes. This size ensures that the flavours are present early on and develop evenly throughout the entire smoke. At the same time, the ring gauge of 50 provides sufficient volume for a pleasantly cool and aromatic smoke.
International blend with an Indonesian character
The Indonesian wrapper, together with the Indonesian binder, provides a slightly spicy and earthy base. The filler combines Honduran, Colombian and Nicaraguan tobaccos. This blend gives the Solar greater intensity than the Polar range, whilst ensuring a harmonious development. The blend remains well-balanced and is well suited to connoisseurs seeking a medium-strength cigar with classic roasted aromas.
Wood, leather and roasted coffee
At the start, the Solar Robusto reveals primarily wood and initial coffee aromas. Subtle spices emerge early on, adding a lively touch. In the middle third, leather and spicy notes come to the fore. Towards the finish, the roasted coffee flavours become more pronounced and are accompanied by a subtle hint of pepper. Hints of dark chocolate and a slight natural sweetness round off the flavour profile. This gives the cigar a varied character, whilst remaining straightforward and uncomplicated throughout.
