The EGM Maduro Maximos is the shortest yet widest vitola in the Línea Maduro range, presenting a blend that is particularly full-bodied, creamy and sweet. The dark Pennsylvania Broadleaf Maduro wrapper from the USA envelops selected Dominican tobaccos from the Cibao Valley. It is precisely the substantial ring gauge of 56 that brings out the natural sweetness and richness of the Maduro wrapper particularly well. Dark chocolate, coffee, creamy oak and leather combine with earthy notes, nuts and subtle spices. This makes the Maximos the most substantial interpretation in the range and is aimed at aficionados who prefer a dense smoke and a broad aromatic profile.

EGM Maduro Maximos with a robust ring gauge of 56

The Maximos measures 132 mm and has a ring gauge of 56, corresponding to a diameter of around 22.2 mm. Its short and wide shape ensures a generous tobacco volume and a particularly rich smoking experience. It is crafted entirely by hand as a longfiller in Santo Domingo. The Pennsylvania Broadleaf wrapper is dark and naturally oily. Compared to the Rios and Floridos, the large ring gauge significantly influences the balance of the blend: the smoke feels fuller, creamier and more characterised by the natural Maduro sweetness.

Dark chocolate, leather and roasted coffee

Initially, creamy oak and leather come to the fore. These are joined by dark chocolate and cocoa nibs, which emphasise the typical aroma of the Broadleaf wrapper. Coffee beans and roasted coffee add a toasty depth, whilst earthy notes provide structure. As the cigar develops, notes of toasted bread, nutmeg, herbs and nuts may emerge. Subtle hints of cinnamon and spices add further accents. A subtle floral or fruity sweetness provides contrast and enhances the overall creamy impression.

The fullest interpretation of the EGM Maduro

The wide ring gauge makes the Maximos the most opulent cigar in the range. It produces a particularly generous amount of smoke and presents the individual flavour notes less intensely than the Rios, but with greater breadth and roundness. The combination of cocoa, coffee, leather, wood and natural sweetness ensures a multi-layered Maduro experience. Despite its dark and robust appearance, the strength remains controlled and is classified by EGM as medium to full-bodied.
