DESCRIPTION

Old Pulteney comes from the northernmost distillery on the Scottish mainland. The distillery’s idyllic setting on the rugged east coast gives the whisky its special charm and unique aroma. Old Pulteney is known as ‘the Manzanilla of the North’. Whether this stems from Manzanilla sherry casks or from the salty, harsh air in the northernmost part of Scotland is unclear. What is all the more certain is that, when tasting it, you can sense the fresh, slightly salty aroma of this superb whisky – reminiscent of seaweed, yet rich and full-bodied.
