Wellauer's Irish Oak Pipe Tobacco – 50g tin

Wellauer’s Irish Oak Pipe Tobacco – 50g Tin is an Irish-inspired pipe tobacco for connoisseurs who prefer a tobacco that is authentic, mild and, at the same time, elegantly aromatic. The blend combines selected tobaccos with a warm, woody ‘oak’ note, reminiscent of mature spirits and oak cask aromas – elegant, yet unobtrusive. When smoked in a pipe, Irish Oak reveals a pleasantly rounded character: it burns gently, is gentle on the palate when smoked at a leisurely pace, and has a room note that remains spicy and slightly sweet. This makes it an excellent choice for after work, for relaxed evenings or as a stylish treat if you prefer aromatics that are not ‘candy-like’ but rather mature and harmonious.

Irish-style with an oaky character

Irish Oak is classified as an Irish blend and typically relies on a balanced base that delivers both sweetness and body. Virginia provides natural sweetness and a slightly toasty foundation, whilst complementary tobaccos (depending on the recipe) give the blend structure and depth. The ‘Oak’ flavouring is what makes it special: it comes across more as a subtle barrel or woody note that refines the tobacco base and gives the smoke a warm, rounded character. This creates a profile that holds up well throughout the smoke: initially mild and smooth, then becoming increasingly full-bodied, with a pleasant, refined woody note in the finish.
