Montosa
DESCRIPTION
The Montosa Amarillo Churchill is the longest size in the Amarillo range and offers the harmonious blend plenty of space to express its floral, nutty and spicy notes. This entirely hand-rolled long-filler cigar hails from the Dominican Republic and combines selected Dominican and Brazilian filler tobaccos with a Mexican-Sumatra binder. A light Connecticut Shade wrapper from Ecuador completes the composition. The result is a mild and elegant Churchill with a creamy smoke texture, floral freshness, cedar, subtle nuttiness and gentle Caribbean spice.
Montosa Amarillo Churchill for prolonged enjoyment
The Churchill format offers the ideal conditions for experiencing the various components of the Amarillo blend slowly and in all their nuances. Whilst the Connecticut Shade wrapper contributes a subtle sweetness and gentle spice, the Mexican Sumatra binder provides structure and balance. The filler tobaccos from Brazil and the Dominican Republic introduce floral, nutty and warm, spicy notes. The interplay remains deliberately light and accessible, yet possesses a lovely aromatic depth thanks to the long-lasting smoke.
Floral notes with nut and cedar
Right from the start, a soft, floral freshness emerges, accompanied by a subtle, cedar-like sweetness. Gradually, warm spicy notes and a delicate nuttiness come to the fore. Woody accents provide structure, whilst the natural sweetness of the wrapper pleasantly rounds off the spiciness. As the smoke progresses, the floral components intensify and blend with a creamy base. Despite the long smoking time, the flavour profile remains balanced and deliberately avoids excessive strength.
Plenty of scope for the full flavour profile
With an official length of 170 millimetres, a diameter of 19.8 millimetres and a ring gauge of 50, the Churchill is the most generous size within the Amarillo family. Depending on your smoking pace, it offers approximately 60 to 90 minutes of enjoyment. The floral, cedar and nutty nuances come into their own particularly well when smoked slowly. The long format is ideal for quiet evenings or extended moments of indulgence. Its mild character and controlled burn make the cigar pleasantly accessible despite its imposing size.
