Romeo y Julieta Linea de Oro Hidalgos

The name Romeo y Julieta was first used in 1875 as a brand name for Habanos and has its roots in the literary tragedy of the same name by the English writer William Shakespeare. Its balanced, aromatic blend of specially selected filler and binder leaves from the Vuelta Abajo area of the Pinar del Río region makes Romeo y Julieta the classic medium-strength Habanos flavour.

Linea de Oro – the crowning glory of Romeo y Julieta

The decision to create this new premium line was taken to celebrate the brand’s 145th anniversary in 2020. Línea de Oro is the brand’s most exclusive and elegant line. The new line comprises three new vitolas – two Parejos and one Figurado – all of which feature in the Romeo y Julieta cigar portfolio. For the first time, a ‘medium to full-bodied’ flavour profile has been introduced within the brand.

The Dianas, Hidalgos and Nobles vitolas were selected by Habanos S.A. to launch the new line, which is presented in a high-quality case featuring a high-gloss lacquer finish on red-stained mountain maple wood, crafted with great attention to detail. The wood’s grain is used to emphasise its natural beauty. A distinctive feature of the Línea de Oro is its sloping front panel. It features an elegant, curved recess with golden hues and a metal band. Together with the small plaque and the detailed logo, this makes the case unique.
