A tobacco born of a centuries-old tradition, perfected by Kentucky’s farmers. The mature tobacco is not harvested until the plant begins to show its first golden-yellow hues. The leaves are then air-dried in the Kentucky air until they gleam a rich golden-yellow.
The tobacco then acquires its unique smoky flavours during a second, specialised smoking and curing process: Dark Fired Smoke Cured. To achieve this, the tobacco is hung in smokehouses above smouldering oak and hickory wood, allowing it, leaf by leaf, to absorb those uniquely toasty, smoky flavours that make it so special.
The result is a tobacco that delights. Perfectly blended with tobaccos from the Dominican Republic to create a smooth, creamy, slightly earthy cigar, with smoky flavours and a hint of roasted pecans.
