DESCRIPTION
The La Flor de Oliva Connecticut Toro combines an elegant, light-coloured Connecticut wrapper with Nicaraguan tobacco and a generous Toro size. Hand-rolled by Oliva in Nicaragua, the blend consists of an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, an Indonesian binder and a Nicaraguan filler. In terms of flavour, the cigar is mild, creamy and pleasantly balanced. Cedar and cream define its character, accompanied by earthy notes, pepper, nuts and subtle hints of coffee. The longer Toro size allows for a smooth development and makes this cigar a versatile companion for relaxed moments of enjoyment.
La Flor de Oliva Connecticut Toro with a ring gauge of 50
The Toro measures around 152 millimetres in length, with a diameter of 19.8 millimetres and a ring gauge of 50. This gives it a classic 6x50 format, offering a balanced combination of length and diameter. Compared to the Robusto, the flavour profile develops somewhat more gradually. The longer size allows for a smooth smoking experience and offers approximately 60 to 75 minutes of enjoyment, depending on your personal smoking pace.
Connecticut elegance with a spicy base
The Ecuador Connecticut wrapper defines its mild and smooth character. Its fine texture and light colour lend the cigar an elegant appearance. The Indonesian binder adds a touch of extra spice, whilst the Nicaraguan filler provides structure and aromatic depth. As a result, the Toro remains on the milder side, yet possesses enough substance to remain interesting even in this longer format.
Cedar, cream and coffee
Initially, notes of cedar and a soft creaminess emerge. Earthy tones and subtle hints of pepper provide a spicy contrast. As the cigar progresses, nutty and subtle coffee notes come to the fore, whilst the creamy texture is maintained. A light, natural sweetness ties the individual components together. Towards the end, wood, leather and earth become slightly more pronounced, without the cigar losing its approachable character. The result is a harmonious smoke with clear aromatics and a pleasant balance.
