Gin 27 Set of two copper tumblers

Appenzeller Alpenbitter AG recently celebrated its 111th anniversary. The long-established company, best known for its Alpenbitter, has – in collaboration with mixologists Peter Roth, Christian Heiss and Markus Blattner – who had a say in the detailed composition – a gin was developed that features rather classic botanicals, striking a good balance between local plants and Asian spices. The exact ingredients, however, are not revealed and can only be guessed at through a tasting. As befits an authentic gin, juniper and citrus fruits dominate. Herbal and spicy notes resonate in the background alongside fruity tones. Coupled with the elegant appearance of the bottle, adorned with nature motifs, this spirit makes a fine impression. The only thing that makes an even greater impression is the “Appenzell Mule” set, comprising a bottle of Gin 27 and two handsome copper mugs. To prepare the Mule cocktail, all you need is a ginger beer of your choice, a fresh lime and a few ice cubes.
