Bohemian No. 3 The Manhattan 32.0% 700ml

The MANHATTAN can be described as an innovative classic: it was one of the first cocktails to be modified by the addition of vermouth, earning it the title ‘King of Vermouth Drinks’. 

Given that the first written record of a MANHATTAN recipe dates from 1884, this is regarded as the year this classic was born, if not earlier. 

Ever since, the MANHATTAN has been made with whisky, Italian vermouth and aromatic bitters. Served in a chilled cocktail glass, flavoured with and garnished by an orange zest, it transports you – from today’s fast-paced world – back to the original New York bar culture.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Slightly coppery.
Aroma: Intense fresh notes of cherries and orange, with herbs and spices in the background; a wine-like nose, with rich notes of pipe tobacco, hints of sherry, candied peel and allspice.
Taste: The honey-smooth texture is perfectly balanced, herbaceous and slightly buttery, with delightful waves of rosemary, fresh pepper and stewed fruit; a hint of citrus appears on the palate.
Finish: A long, herbaceous finish with notes of orange, hints of a dessert wine and a touch of cedar.
Overall: Extremely complex and pleasantly aromatic.

Preparation

Pour into a mixing glass filled with ice cubes, stir well and strain into a cocktail glass. Add a garnish to the drink. To finish, lightly mist the cocktail with the aroma sprayer.
