Cohiba

Cohiba is regarded by many connoisseurs as the ‘premier brand’ amongst the ‘ Habanos ’. In our opinion, this is correct, although it is, of course, a matter of taste. The cigar has been produced since 1964 and has borne the distinctive band bearing the brand name ‘Cohiba". The finest tobacco leaves from the Vuelta Abajo region are used in its production. Initially available only in Cuba, it has been on the open market since 1982. The Cohiba cigar has its origins in the world-famous “El Laguito” factory, which, according to unconfirmed reports, has the privilege of selecting the very best leaves from each year’s harvest. However, what makes the ‘ Cohiba ’ virtually unique is the triple fermentation of the Seco and Ligero filler leaves!
CohibaCohiba Cohibas are available in the three Líneas: Classico, 1492 and Maduro, as well as a number of Edicion Limitadas. As a starting point, we can warmly recommend the Siglo range from the Línea 1492, for example the Cohiba Siglo I. If you prefer slightly larger sizes, the Cohiba Robustoor the relatively new Cohiba Medio Siglowould certainly be a good choice.
